Welcome to my San Andres…(By Tati Santos)

Today the TV presenter Ana Maria Braga said a very interesting truth, between many. The Caribbean is not as far as used to be and the poor mortals like us are able to penetrate into that enormous aquarelle painted by perfect hands from a more than inspired artist.

A tip is to look for island not very well known like San Andres which is based in Colombia and is surrounded by the Seven Colours Sea (I’m sure I have seen more than seven, but that’s ok). You can also extend your trip and stay in Bogota’ to see the Gold Museum apart from other attractions in the town.

The Decameron, is doubtless the best hotel in the island as it offers the best food options, believe me this is probably the best tip, differing itself from all the rest that had a horrible and tasteless menu option.

The prices must always be negotiated, is worth to try.

Try to arrange everything by yourself, with the internet nobody needs agencies for hotels and flights bookings. The majority of these companies charges absurd prices for services that sometimes are useless.

Magazines can offer packages of scuba diving lessons with prices very interesting.

Meanwhile, that is all. Soon we will post some pictures of the paradise known as San Andres.

PS: For those who enjoy the reggae music the island is very near of Jamaica and Bob Marley was one of the most frequent personalities of the place.

Hoje a apresentadora Ana maria Braga falou uma verdade (entre tantas) muito interessante. O Caribe não é mais tão longe como era e hoje pobres mortais como nós podemos penetrar naquela imensa aquarela pintada pelas mãos perfeitas de algum artista mais que inspirado.

Uma dica  é procurar pelas ilhas menos cobiçadas, como San Andres que pertence à Colombia e é banhada pelo Mar das Sete Cores(tenho certeza que vi mais de sete, mas tudo bem). Quem quiser ainda pode fazer uma escala em Bogotá e conhecer o Museu do Ouro além de outros atrativos da cidade.

O melhor hotel da ilha sem dúvida é o Decameron, que oferece as melhores opções de refeições, (acredite esta talvez seja a melhor dica) porque apesar de todos os hotéis serem “All Included” a comida  do que eu me hospedei(Sol Caribean) era horrível!!! Apenas o café da manhã salvava.

O s colombianos costumam gostar bastante dos brasileiros por isso encontre uma maneira de se identificar eles nos preferem aos europeus. Os preços devem ser sempre negociados, vale muito pechinchar.

Procure viajar por conta própria, com a internet ninguém precisa de intermediários para reservar hotéis, avião, carros etc. A maioria das agências cobra preços absurdos por serviços que as vezes são inúteis.

Revistas de mergulho oferecem pacotes de agências especializadas no assunto com preços bem interessantes.

Obs: Pra quem curte o som do reggae a ilha é bem próxima da Jamaica e Bob Marley era um de seus fiéis frequentadores.
